Designing For Alignment, Collaboration & Belonging (1 min)

From my talk at GoTech World — "Your Culture, Amplified: Make Learning The Lever It Should Be” — the only session on the main stage NOT about AI. 😅

A quick note of thanks if you're following these posts. 🙏🏻
I was surprised to reflect a short while back that my LinkedIn followers more than doubled over this past year from posting my POV and not much more. So, really, it means a lot that you value my thoughts & experiences.

To those of you I don't know so well yet: 👋🏻 I'm Dwayne Britton, founder of DAY   |   WON here in Berlin. I help teams navigate critical moments through high-stakes facilitation + advisory grounded in learning, collaboration — and designed for their unique brand culture.

And I draw on 15+ years at great brands like Apple, Adidas, Zalando, On, Lululemon and others to shape my views.

Here are a few things I've come to believe about learning & collaboration:

- Learning is culture work (not content work).
- Belonging, alignment, and collaboration need to (and can be!) designed for.
- L&D teams are Culture Amplifiers (not deliverables on legs). We are literally given permission to evangelize 'The Way We Do Things Around Here' — the very definition of organizational culture.
- A brand's "Learning Philosophy" helps scale learning + a brand's unique culture — and smart People teams articulate what they believe about people development in one.
- Onboarding is your most important offering — it's where brand culture gets level-set.
- Scale benefits from cultural translation, not mere framework transplantation.
- Our work has a much better chance of enduring if it lives in healthy org systems.

What do you agree with? 🙌🏻
Anything you would fight me on? 🥊 😉
