THE JOURNEY
Why This Work:
I'm Dwayne, Founder and Principal Culture Strategist at DAY|WON.
I design and facilitate high-stakes sessions, speak on culture and learning, and advise leaders and teams at brand-driven companies navigating growth and change.
I love what I do. Bringing a group together, making people feel heard, pushing situations toward something better. Reconnecting a team to shared purpose. Lightening the load so coming to work feels good again. And yes, having some fun while we work. Fun is strategic.
THE WORK BEHIND MY WORK
My path has run through 15+ years shaping culture and capability at some of the world's most recognizable brands including, among others, Apple, Adidas, Zalando, Lululemon, and On — most recently as Head of Global Learning & Development.
I've trained hardware, software, onboarding, business skills, brand culture, sales enablement, and product. I've led teams of trainers, designed train-the-trainer programs, and built regional and global L&D programming at major brands. I've partnered with global VPs to improve team ways of working & project collaboration, partnered with CEOs on leadership onboarding, and led steering board meetings with cross-functional, multicultural teams across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
MY PAST LIFE
I also lived as an artist for 12 years just after university. That creativity never left. Combined with everything above, my integrated experience changes what I notice in a room.
It sharpens a particular kind of judgment: knowing when to push for alignment and when to give space. When a small detail is significant, or when there is something unspoken to further explore. It's a skill that's difficult to teach, and learning it has proven invaluable to my work.
ALONGSIDE THIS WORK
Alongside my consulting work at DAY|WON, I serve as Learning & Development Strategic Advisor to Manageable, a fast-growing UK startup helping managers build the confidence and habits to lead well.
